Fifty Shades Of Blue Award

Unlike the similar-sounding movie, we certainly have an Oscar for Santorini, for showcasing multiple shades of beautiful blue – in its houses, churches, tavernas, the ocean, clothes and even trinkets!
So much beauty and diversity in one colour.
The DiCaprio Award

Sigh. An Oscar for not winning an Oscar.

Ah. What a satisfying view. All it’s missing is Morgan Freeman dressed as God, with his calming commentary in the background.
Travel G Spot Award

This year’s G-Spot is in the bushes of Australia.
We’re talking about the beautiful Australian wilderness in the Gold Coast region, where you can camp in the bushes, surrounded by wallabies and other exotic wildlife.
The Hangover Award
(For The Best Pub Crawl)

Jim Carrey Award

Tip: the fishes fetch high bids at the first auction of the year in Tokyo’s Tsukiji Market.
The Ratatouille Award
(For The Best Food Destination)
For those of you who’ve been following our previous blogs, you know why Croatia tops our list of food destinations.
And for those of you who haven’t, all you have to do is just listen to the names of some Croatian dishes – you’ll be salivating in no time.
Yummy Black Risotto. Delicious Fritule. Flavourful Fuzi & Pljukanci (traditional pasta of the region). The list is endless.
Finally, the ‘Catch me if you can’ Award
(For The Experience You Don’t Want To Miss)
As elusive as DiCaprio in the movie, you probably won’t get to see the Northern Lights.
But then, you might, like our travellers have. Trust us when we say this, the wait outside in the dead of the night is totally worth it.
Do you feel we’ve missed out on some destinations? Are there more DiCaprios out there? We’re all ears!
